Confidentiality Agreement
Your privacy and trust are central to the therapeutic relationship. This confidentiality agreement comes into effect automatically once you begin therapy services. All information shared during sessions, including personal details and discussions, is kept confidential and handled with care to support a safe space for open expression.
Confidentiality may be limited if there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, concerns about abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person, or if disclosure is required by law or a court order. In such situations, only necessary information will be shared, and wherever possible, this will be discussed with you in advance.
In couple or group therapy, confidentiality is maintained by the therapist; however, as multiple individuals are involved, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed and participants are expected to respect each other’s privacy.
Brief notes may be maintained to support the therapeutic process and are stored securely. For online sessions, secure platforms are used, though complete confidentiality over digital communication cannot be guaranteed, and clients are encouraged to join from a private space.
Confidentiality is part of a professional agreement. If session fees or agreed payments remain unpaid beyond the stipulated time, services may be suspended and this confidentiality agreement will not apply until dues are cleared.
By engaging in therapy services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you have any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to discuss them at any time.
